Show Format & Performance Schedule

We deliver four action-packed axe throwing shows over an 8-hour day — each one a 1.5-hour burst of high-energy entertainment. Festival organizers choose the showtimes, and we handle the rest.

Each show is led by one of our witty, sarcastic, and endlessly entertaining performers who keeps the energy high and the crowd fully engaged. While the entertainer hypes the crowd, encourages cheers, and fuels the friendly rivalries, our professional axe-throwing coaches keep the competition flowing smoothly.

Expect matchups like husband vs. wife, friends vs. friends, and grandparents vs. grandkids — the kind of moments that get people laughing, cheering, and coming back for more. Whether they’re throwing or just watching, everyone leaves smiling.

Space Requirements

2 Lanes: Minimum space of 13′ wide x 20′ deep
4 Lanes: Minimum space of 26′ wide x 20′ deep
6 Lanes: Minimum space of 39′ wide x 20′ deep

All setups also require:
An additional 10′ x 10′ area behind the lanes for equipment storage
At least 12 feet of vertical clearance
Participant queue and waiver area — coordinated with event organizers to fit the venue layout

 

 

Ground Surface Requirements

Lanes can be set up on grass, asphalt, concrete, or packed gravel, but must be placed on a firm, flat, and level surface.

If we’re setting up on asphalt or concrete, we provide rubber mats to protect the surface.
We prefer not to set up on wooden decks or other surfaces that could be damaged by dropped axes.

 

 

Power Requirements

Power is only required for nighttime events.
If axe throwing will take place after dark, we’ll need access to a standard 110V power source for lighting.
If power is unavailable, we can bring portable lighting — just let us know in advance.

 

 

Water Requirements

We require access to a water spigot to fill 5-gallon containers.
This water is used to hydrate our wooden targets, which helps ensure performance and safety.

 

 

Access & Setup Time

We require access to the site the day before the event for setup and the day after for teardown.
Setup and teardown each take up to 4 hours.
We require trailer access to the setup location during these times.
The trailer will not remain on site during the event.

 

 

Staffing & Lodging Requirements

One entertainer is provided for every show plus one coach is for every two lanes booked.
Lodging costs are included in our pricing.
If nearby lodging is not available, we will need:
– A parking space with power access for a camper up to 26′ long
– Advance notice to coordinate lodging plans
Additional costs may apply, but we’re happy to work with event organizers to find the most economical solution.

 

 

Additional Requirements

We carry full liability insurance and will add your event as additionally insured upon request.

All participants must sign a waiver (print, sign, and date).
Ages 12 and up can participate.
Participants under 18 require a parent or guardian signature.

Closed-toe shoes are required for all participants.
Event organizers must provide any necessary vehicle and staff access passes.

2 Lanes With 1 Coach and 1 Entertainer:
5+ Days: $1,300/day | 3 – 4 Days: $1,400/day | 1 – 2 Days: $1,800/day

4 Lanes With 2 Coaches and 1 Entertainer:
5+ Days: $2,300/day | 3 – 4 Days: $2,500/day | 1 – 2 Days: $3,200/day

6 Lanes With 3 Coaches and 1 Entertainer:
5+ Days: $3,200/day | 3 – 4 Days: $3,500/day | 1 – 2 Days: $4,400/day

Travel Costs: There may be additional fees depending on travel time/distance from Waterford, MI.

Setup and Teardown: Labor required to set up and take down our lanes is included in the above pricing.

Our Outdoor Bay is a bold, rugged setup that features two full-size throwing lanes and a design that draws a crowd before the first axe even flies. It includes two professional axe-throwing coaches — and like everything we do, this isn’t just axe throwing… it’s a show.

We run four 1.5-hour shows across an 8-hour day. Festival organizers choose the showtimes, and we take it from there. One coach leads the action with big energy, quick wit, and crowd engagement, while the second coach keeps throwers cycling through safely and smoothly.

Expect matchups like husband vs. wife, friends vs. friends, and grandparents vs. grandkids — high-energy competitions that keep people laughing, cheering, and talking about your event long after the day is done.

Outdoor Bay setup includes 2 lanes only.
Minimum space required is 10′ wide x 20′ deep.

Additional space is required for:
A 10′ x 10′ storage area behind the bay for equipment

– A place to park the trailer
Hotel accommodations nearby (one room with two beds)
